Part one
Sweat on my brow back against bags of sand
I look all around this torn and tarnished land
My feet on the ground and head held up high
Knowing there is a chance that I may die
BANG BANG and Click-clack is all I hear
I go over my plan to play it by ear
Two teammates charge forward while The other stays back
I peek over the sand bags to start my attack
I duck back immediately as a shot whizzes by
Dammit a sniper I curse toward the sky
Checking my options I looked all around
But then my ears hear that terrible sound
A chainsaw roars to life and I hear a foul laughter
I know that one teammate has just met his master
Grabbing the shotgun off of my back
I readied myself for the coming attack
Smiling ever so slightly as one comes around
I shoot him point blank and he falls toward the ground
Running back for more cover I know one thing is clear
I may not be so lucky next time the enemy is near
Part two
Hearing off in the distance what I dreaded the most
A sniper shot that turned one of my team into a ghost
Picking up my lancer and running toward his spot
I weaved and evaded every last shot
Getting up close and smiling with sadistic glee
I Chopped down the sniper just like a tree
Getting up I heard a boom that stabbed at me like a knife
My last comrade had just took a torque that ended his life
Grabbing my grenades I headed toward the sound
Then hearing a thunk I whipped quickly around
Jumping for cover I heard the large boom
Breathing a sigh of relief I had just barely evaded my doom
Tossing the last grenade over my shoulder
The would be bowman was blown up just like a boulder
Knowing there was one left on this barren field
I slammed myself against a crumbling wall that served as a shield
Part 3
I spotted the last hostile out of the corner of my eye
It was a single grub looking up towards the sky
He looked toward me with a look that could kill stone
I cursed towards the heavens, why did I have to be alone?
Somersaulting from my point of rest
I fired frantically and showing my best
We fought for what seemed like days
We both knew this could go both ways
In an act of desperation he threw a flash
Smiling I acted on his fatal move fast
Using my shotgun’s very last round
I shot off his head and his body crumpled to the ground
Looking at his body with a frown even though I won
I knew the battle was over but the war was not done.
